COVID-19 Statement
Updated: March 24th 2020
To All Of Our Patients,
First of all, we’re here for you. Dr. Nance and her team want to take a moment to update you regarding the recent Coronavirus (Covid-19) situation that we are all facing.
We are transitioning to telehealth for as many patient interactions as possible to limit exposure to COVID-19. To learn more about our telehealth service please visit our telehealth services page.
Information on Physical Practices
We are open on limited days to see emergency patients by appointment only. Our team will be fielding office phone calls for any questions. We are complying with CDC guidelines and following their recommendations to minimize contact and transmission in-person. While there is uncertainty and unknowns in the world around us, we do know people still need healthcare, unrelated to COVID-19.
Information on Appointments/Visits/Rescheduling
Please contact our office during normal business hours.
Information on Practices and Measures Being Taken
From the small controlled number of patients still coming into our office patient safety is our utmost concern. We are performing increased cleaning efforts, and properly sanitizing all surfaces in our office.
Please be reassured that at ALL times, this office has practiced the Universal Precaution Guidelines. We are also taking extra precautions based on CDC (Center Disease Control) recommendations to ensure your safety while coming in for your appointments.
As per the CDC recommendations any patient who has travelled to/from a designed red zone (at this time they are China, Japan, Iran, Italy, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican City, & South Korea) will not be scheduled for an appointment within 14 days of return.
We are screening all patients for current illness and travel, and it should be understood that if a patient has had a fever, traveled to any of those regions or has come in close contact with anyone who has, their in office appointment will be cancelled and we will schedule a telehealth visit via phone.
In regards to patient escorts, we are recommending one visitor per patient to limit the amount of people in the waiting room.
Information on COVID-19 and Symptomatic Patients
We respectfully request that if you are sick or unwell, please go to the NYC Health website for updated information or contact your primary care provider.
Let us all work collectively together to keep everyone safe and healthy during these uncertain times.
Thank you all and pelase stay safe.
Dr. Nance
